About this road
The most famous stretch of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course, host to motorcycle road racing since 1911, and one of the few public roads in the British Isles with no national speed limit.
Ride notes
- Closed to normal traffic during TT and Manx Grand Prix race periods (late May-June, August)
- No national speed limit outside villages, following traffic can be very fast
- Exposed, high moorland, can close in fog, wind or snow
